Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, July 21, 2009

    Feed ingredient prices were mixed, mostly lower this past week.  The most
increase was in the oil and grease prices.  Demand was light to moderate for
most ingredients.

Oilseeds:
  The Aug Soybean Meal futures closed 11.70 lower at 322.30; Sep closed
16.20 lower at 294.30. The Aug Soybean Oil futures closed 100 points higher at
34.77 cents per pound; Sep closed 100 points higher at 34.93 cents per pound.
The high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 16.70 lower from 329.30-332.30;
the basis was 5.00 lower from 7.00-10.00 over the August futures. Linseed Meal,

34 pct protein was 5.00 to 20.00 lower on a limited test from 215.00-220.00 for

July in North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct
protein was Steady from 165.00-170.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area.
Soybean Oil in Minnesota was 100 to 150 points higher from 32.02-33.27 cents
per
pound; the basis was steady to 50 points higher at 150-275 points under the Aug

futures.

Animal Protein:
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was 10.00 to 15.00 lower from 360.00-
385.00 for ruminant; pork ranged 410.00-420.00.  Yellow Grease was steady to
150
points higher from 22.50-24.50 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was 175 to
200 points higher from 26.00-26.75 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to
10.00 lower from 550.00-575.00.

Millfeeds:
   Wheat Middlings were steady to 3.00 higher from 76.00-85.00. The Sacked Bran

was steady at 225.00.

Others:
   Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, 17 pct protein had no quote.
