Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full July delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery. September wheat futures closed 9-3/4 to 13-1/4 cents per bushel lower compared to Thursdays closes. Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent protein, for July Portland delivery trended four to 10 cents per bushel lower than Thursdays noon bids. Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for July delivery were 13 to 18 cents per bushel lower than Thursdays noon bids. Lower Kansas City September wheat futures pressured bids, while some exporters raised their basis and tempered declines somewhat. Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for July delivery trended 10 cents per bushel lower than Thursdays noon bids in lining up with the moderately lower Minneapolis September spring wheat futures. Bids for US 2 Barley for July delivery were not available as exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery. Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland via single rail cars trended 13-3/4 to 20 cents per cwt lower than Thursdays noon bids. Lower Chicago September corn futures pressured bids, while some corn traders raised their basis, which tempered declines. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley were 20 cents lower due to the lower Chicago September corn futures.
