Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 9:30 a.m.;   Subject to change

   Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during July by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt.  Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified.  All other wheat and barley bids are for full July delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

   September wheat futures in midday trading trended 17-1/2 to 20-3/4
cents per bushel lower in midmorning trading.

   Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein, for July Portland delivery were not fully established in early
trading but were indicated as two to 15 cents per bushel lower than
Mondays noon bids.

   Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for July
delivery were not fully established in early trading but were
indicated as generally 17 cents per bushel lower than Mondays noon
bids.  Moderately lower Kansas City September wheat futures weighed on
bids.

   Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for July
delivery were not fully established in early trading but were
indicated as 20 cents per bushel lower than Mondays noon bids in
following the moderately lower Minneapolis September wheat futures.

   Bids for US 2 Barley for July delivery were not available.

   Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 30 to 43-3/4 cents per cwt lower
than Mondays noon bids due to sharply lower Chicago September corn
futures in early trading.  Some exporters raised their basis in reaction
to the lower futures.  All corn traders have switched to over the
September corn futures.
