Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 9:30 a.m.;   Subject to change

   Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt.  Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified.  All other wheat and barley bids are for full June delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

   September wheat futures in midday trading trended mixed, from three
cents lower to 2-1/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Tuesdays
closes, with the most decline in Kansas City and the advanced in
Minneapolis.  Kansas City July wheat futures were 3-1/2 cents per bushel
lower than Tuesdays close.

   Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein, for June Portland delivery were not fully established in early
trading but were indicated generally steady to five cents per bushel
lower compared to Tuesdays noon bids.

   Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June
delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated
as generally three cents per bushel lower compared to Tuesdays noon
bids.  Lower Kansas City July and September wheat futures and a lower
basis bid by some exporters weighed on bids.

   Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for June
delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids trended
generally three cents per bushel higher in following the higher
Minneapolis September wheat futures.

   Bids for US 2 barley for June delivery were not available.

   Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 cents per cwt lower
than Tuesdays noon bids due to lower Chicago July and September corn
futures in early trading.
