Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 11:30 a.m.; Subject to change

Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full June delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

September wheat futures closed 4-1/4 to seven cents per bushel lower
compared to Thursdays closes. Kansas City July wheat futures closed 4-
1/4 cents lower.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein for June Portland delivery, trended steady to two cents per
bushel lower compared to Thursdays noon bids.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June
delivery trended mixed, from five cents lower to one cent per bushel
higher compared to Thursdays noon bids. Lower Kansas City July and
September wheat futures were a pressuring factor, while some exporters
raised their basis in order to partially offset the lower futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for June
delivery were generally six cents per bushel lower in response to lower
Minneapolis September spring wheat futures.

Bids for US 2 barley for June delivery were not available as exporters
were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn ranged from 6-1/4 to 7-1/2 cents per bushel
lower, pressured by lower Chicago July corn futures.
