Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were higher on Wednesday afternoon. An
improvement in the US dollar along with a rally in equities supported
the late increase in corn prices. Soybean prices grew strength from
a short term forecast of too much rain in the eastern cornbelt.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids 1 to 4 cents higher at 3.81-3.93. Soybean bids were 5 to 9 cents
higher at 11.88-11.98.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
4 to 6 cents higher at 3.88-4.01. Soybean bids were 5 to 13 cents higher
at 11.96-12.14.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 1 to 5 cents
higher at 3.94-4.13. Soybean bids were mostly 4 to 7 cents higher at
11.90-12.07. Wheat bids were mostly steady to 2 cents higher at 4.70-4.95.
Milo bids were 4 to 6 cents higher at 3.25-3.38.

after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
