WITH OAT BIDS.*** Portland Daily Grain Report Bids as of 11:30 a.m.; Subject to change Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. Bids for 14 percent protein dark northern spring wheat were split for June 9-20 delivery and June 21-30 delivery. All other wheat and barley bids are for full June delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery. July wheat futures closed 12-3/4 to 24-3/4 cents per bushel higher compared to Mondays closes. September spring wheat futures closed 20-1/4 cents higher than Mondays closes. Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent protein for June Portland delivery, trended five to 10 cents per bushel higher compared to Mondays noon bids in response to the higher Chicago July wheat futures. Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June delivery trended 13 cents per bushel higher compared to Mondays noon bids in following the moderately higher Kansas City July wheat futures. Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for June delivery advanced by 25 cents per bushel compared to Mondays noon bids. Moderately higher Minneapolis July and September wheat futures were supportive to bids. Bids for US 2 barley for June delivery were not available as exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery. Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland via single rail cars advanced by 8-3/4 to 12-1/2 cents per cwt compared to Monday noon bids. Higher Chicago July corn futures were supportive to bids, although some corn traders lowered their basis and tempered advances. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended 16-1/4 cents per cwt higher due to higher Chicago July corn futures.
