Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 11:30 a.m.; Subject to change

Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during May by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full May delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

July wheat futures closed 13-1/2 to 20-3/4 cents per bushel higher
compared to Thursdays closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein for May Portland delivery, trended three to seven cents per
bushel higher compared to Thursday noon bids, supported by sharply higher
Chicago July wheat futures.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for May
delivery advanced by 19 cents per bushel in lining up with the higher
Kansas City wheat futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for May delivery
advanced by three to eight cents per bushel. Higher Minneapolis July
wheat futures were supportive to bids, although most exporters lowered
their basis, in order to partially offset the higher futures.

Bids for US 2 barley for May delivery were not fully established
as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 16-1/4 cents per cwt higher
in response to the higher Chicago May corn futures.
