Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 9:30 a.m.;   Subject to change

   Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during May by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt.  Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified.  All other wheat and barley bids are for full May delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

   July wheat futures in midday trading were 14-1/4 To 19-1/4 cents per
bushel lower compared to Fridays closes.

   Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein, for May Portland delivery were not fully established in early
trading but bids were indicated as steady to 11 cents per bushel lower
than Fridays noon bids, pressured by lower Chicago July wheat futures in
early trading.

   Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for May
delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated
as 14 cents per bushel lower than Fridays noon bids.  Lower Kansas City
July wheat futures weighed on bids.

   Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for May delivery
were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as
generally 19 cents per bushel lower than Fridays noon bids in lining up
with the lower Minneapolis July wheat futures.

   Bids for US 2 barley for May delivery were not well tested.

   Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 12-1/2 to 13-3/4 cents per cwt lower
than Fridays noon bids in early trading.  Lower Chicago July corn
futures pressured cash corn bids.
