Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were higher on Wednesday afternoon, with
soybeans and corn sharply higher. Fuel for today's rally in soybeans
came from fund buying at the Board of Trade, stronger soybean meal
values and a drop in the soybean production estimate for Argentina.
Also, the USDA announced the sale of 100,000 tonnes of US soybeans
to an unknown destination for the 2009-2010 crop year.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 18 to 20 cents higher at 3.71-3.84. Soybean bids were 42 to
44 cents higher at 10.05-10.18.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
18 to 20 cents higher at 3.72-3.86. Soybean bids were 42 to 43 cents lower
at 10.11-10.22.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 16 to 20 cents
stronger at 3.77-3.89. Soybean bids were up 42 to 47 cents at 10.10-10.23.
Wheat bids were mostly 10 to 12 cents higher at 4.10-4.41. Milo bids were
17 to 21 cents higher at 2.86-3.13.
