Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were lower on Monday afternoon. Fund
selling at the Board of Trade helped to pressure corn and soybeans
lower. Poor weekly export inspection figures added to the weakness
in soybeans. The soybean figure came in at 6.944 million bushels
compared to 21.747 million last week.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 4 to 7 cents lower at 3.50-3.60. Soybean bids were 32 to 39
cents lower at 9.77-9.91.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
3 to 5 cents lower at 3.50-3.63. Soybean bids were 30 to 37 cents lower
at 9.83-9.94.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 2 to 5 cents
lower at 3.56-3.67. Soybean bids were down mostly 30 to 38 cents at
9.82-9.94. Wheat bids were 24 to 29 cents lower at 3.90-4.28. Milo bids
were mostly 5 cents lower at 2.58-2.92.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
