GX_GR113 Springfield, IL Wed Apr 22, 2009 USDA-IL Dept of Ag Market News Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Wednesday afternoon. Old crop soybean futures were supported with stronger soybean meal values, while the new crop soybean values were pressured by the latest extended weather forecast for the cornbelt. Many forecasts predict more rain for the midwest next week to further delay corn planting. These delays could possibly encourage planting of more soybean acres. In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids 1 to 2 cents lower at 3.50-3.61. Soybean bids were 9 to 11 cents higher at 10.13-10.26. In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were mostly steady at 3.50-3.63. Soybean bids were mostly 4 to 8 cents higher at 10.23-10.35. In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were steady to 1 cent higher at 3.58-3.69. Soybean bids were 4 to 6 cents higher at 10.18-10.34. Wheat bids were 7 cents higher at 4.01-4.37. Milo bids were steady to 1 cent lower at 2.63-2.94.
