Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Thursday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Thursday afternoon, with corn
and wheat higher and soybeans lower. Corn futures received a boost from
weekly export sales figures above expectations. Soybeans were lower despite
good crush numbers from the Census Bureau, and the announcement of a sale of
US soybeans to China. In the cash markets, the corn basis was mostly steady
with soybeans down 2 to 4 cents at many river terminals.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 6 to 8 cents higher at 3.61-3.68. Soybean bids were 8 to 11 cents
lower at 9.21-9.31.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
5 to 6 cents higher at 3.61-3.75. Soybean bids were 6 to 7 cents lower at
9.27-9.37.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 cents higher
at 3.65-3.81. Soybean bids were 7 cents lower at 9.30-9.39. Wheat bids
were 6 to 8 cents higher at 4.16-4.36. Milo bids were 5 to 8 cents higher
at 2.84-3.31.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
