Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were higher on Monday afternoon, with
soybeans and wheat sharply higher. Fund and technical buying fueled
today's rally at the Board of Trade. A higher stock index also helped
to support higher prices. Today's rally gave incentive for farmers to
make some additional sales of cash grain. Trading was active for both
corn and soybeans.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 2 cents higher at 3.61-3.71. Soybean bids were 33 to 35 cents
higher at 8.93-9.10.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
were 2 cents higher at 3.64-3.74. Soybean bids were 35 to 36 cents higher
at 8.95-9.08.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 1 to 3 cents
higher at 3.66-3.83. Soybean bids were 34 to 35 cents higher at 9.01-9.14.
Wheat bids were 25 to 26 cents higher at 4.41-4.69. Milo bids were mostly
3 cents higher at 2.99-3.37.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
