Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Thursday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were moderately higher on Thursday afternoon.
Both corn and soybean futures pushed higher on better than expected export
sale figures. Weekly export sales for corn totaled 1.092 million metric
tonnes and soybeans came in at 838,000 metric tonnes.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 20 to 21 cents higher at 3.60-3.66. Soybean bids were 19 to 20
cents higher at 8.64-8.80.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
were 16 to 21 cents higher at 3.60-3.70. Soybean bids were 16 to 18 cents
higher at 8.67-8.82.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly 18 cents
higher at 3.60-3.81. Soybean bids were 19 to 20 cents higher at 8.71-8.84.
Wheat bids were 17 to 25 cents higher at 4.22-4.60. Milo bids were mostly
20 cents higher at 3.00-3.30.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
