Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were lower on Wednesday afternoon. In the
early trading at the Board of Trade, corn and soybean prices were supported
by the new USDA's Supply Demand forecast. The corn carryout for the 2008-
2009 crop year was lowered to 1.74 billion bushels, with the soybean
carryout dropping to 185 million bushels.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 10 to 11 cents lower at 3.39-3.46. Soybean bids were 15 to 17
cents lower at 8.44-8.61.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
were 11 to 12 cents lower at 3.39-3.54. Soybean bids were 15 cents
lower at 8.51-8.64.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 9 to 12 cents
lower at 3.38-3.63. Soybean bids were 15 to 17 cents lower at 8.52-8.64.
Wheat bids were 22 to 24 cents lower at 3.97-4.43. Milo bids were 6 to 9
cents lower at 2.84-3.10.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
