Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Monday afternoon. Corn
prices gained strength from technical and fund buying at the Board of
Trade, plus good weekly export inspection numbers. This week's export
inspection for corn totaled 40.56 million bushels, compared to 34.7
million last week. High water along the Illinois River was starting to
slow grain movement. Several terminals along the Illinois River were
closing due to the high water levels.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 3 to 4 cents higher at 3.39-3.48. Soybean bids were 2 cents
lower at 8.50-8.67.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
were 2 to 4 cents higher at 3.37-3.54. Soybean bids were 2 cents lower
at 8.54-8.67.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly 2 to 4
cents higher at 3.40-3.64. Soybean bids were 2 cents lower at 8.55-8.71.
Wheat bids were 3 to 4 cents lower at 4.08-4.55. Milo bids were mostly
4 to 7 cents higher at 2.83-3.05.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
