Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 11:30 a.m.;   Subject to change

   Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during March by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt.  Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified.  Bids for 11.5 percent protein hard red winter wheat are split
for first and last half March delivery.  All other wheat and barley bids
are for full March delivery.  Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

   May wheat futures closed 5-1/2 to eight cents per bushel lower
compared to Wednesdays closes.

   Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein, for March Portland
delivery were steady to three cents per bushel higher than Wednesdays
noon bids.  Bids for maximum 10.5 percent protein soft white wheat
trended steady to five cents lower.

   Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for March
delivery were steady to seven cents per bushel lower.  Bids were
pressured by the lower Kansas City May wheat futures.  Some exporters
removed their bids for nearby delivery.

   Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for March
delivery trended mixed, from eight cents lower to three cents per bushel
higher compared to Wednesdays noon bids.  Minneapolis May wheat futures
settled lower today.

   Bids for US 2 barley for March delivery were not fully established
as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

   Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 6-1/4 to 8-3/4 cents per cwt lower
than Wednesdays noon bids in response to lower Chicago May corn futures.
