FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures slipped for a second day on Monday in light volume to their lowest

level in more than a week as competing vegetable oil markets fell and as the ringgit

strengthened, traders said.

* U.S. wheat surged more than 2 percent to the highest level in a month on Monday as forecasts

for rains in the U.S. Plains revived concerns about crop damage and encouraged buying among

investors with large short positions.

* Oil slipped on Monday as a rallying dollar and concerns of growing oversupply weighed on the

market after Saudi Arabia reported its highest crude exports in nearly a decade.

MARKET NEWS

* Wall Street stocks rose on Monday to record highs on hopes the Federal Reserve will hold off

raising interest rates, while the dollar rallied and Greek bond yields jumped on worries the

nation will not be able to make its debt payments.
