Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 9:30 a.m.; Subject to change

Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during September by rail
or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full September
delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

December wheat futures in midday trading were mixed, from 3/4 of a
cent lower to seven cents per bushel higher compared to Tuesdays
closes, with the decline in Minneapolis and the most advance in Chicago.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein, for September delivery were not fully established in early
trading but were indicated as steady to five cents per bushel higher than
Tuesdays noon bids. Some exporters were not issuing bids for nearby
delivery.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for September
delivery were not fully established but were indicated as generally
three cents higher in following the higher Kansas City December wheat
futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for September
delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated
as mixed, from one cent lower to nine cents per bushel higher compared to
Tuesdays noon bids. Fractionally lower Minneapolis December wheat
futures weighed on bids, while some exporters increased their basis,
which was supportive to bids.

Bids for US 2 barley for September delivery were not well tested.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended five to 6-1/4 cents per cwt lower
due to lower Chicago December corn futures.
