Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, September 01, 2009

    Feed ingredient prices were mixed, mostly higher this past week.  The
soybean meal continued to show the sharpest increase as supplies were extremely

limited.

Oilseeds:
  The Sep Soybean Meal futures closed 6.30 lower at 351.70, Oct closed 11.80
lower at 296.70. The Sep Soybean Oil futures closed 201 points lower at 31.53
cents per pound; Oct closed 205 points lower at 34.70 cents per pound.  The
high
protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 21.70 to 23.70 higher at 436.70; the
basis
was 28.00 to 30.00 higher at 85.00 over the Sep futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct
protein was 5.00 to 7.00 higher from 217.00-220.00 in North Dakota-Minnesota
areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady at 140.00 in the

North Dakota-Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in Minnesota was 126 to 205 points
lower from 30.95-33.75 cents per pound; the basis was steady to 75 points
higher
from 375 points under the Oct futures and 75 points under the Sep futures.

Animal Protein:
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was steady to 5.00 higher from 365.00-
375.00 for ruminant; pork ranged 405.00-410.00.  Yellow Grease was 25 to 50
points lower from 23.50-24.50 cents per pound.  Choice White Grease ranged
27.25-28.00 cents per pound. Feather Meal was 20.00 to 40.00 higher from
600.00-
640.00.

Millfeeds:
   Wheat Middlings were 3.00 to 4.00 lower from 75.00-81.00 with very limited
supply. The Sacked Bran was steady at 215.00.

Others:
   Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, 17 pct protein had no quote.
