Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Monday afternoon. Soybean
values were pressured by the good growing conditions for the cornbelt.
Weekly export inspections for soybeans totaled 16.96 million bushels,
with corn exports at 34.95 million bushels. The cash soybean basis stayed
firm with some processors up 10 to 15 cents per bushel.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 3 to 5 cents higher at 3.10-3.27. Soybean bids were mixed at
11.04-11.42.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
1 to 3 cents higher at 3.12-3.24. Soybean bids were 25 to 27 cents lower
at 11.34-11.70.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mixed at
3.02-3.26. Soybean bids were mostly 27 to 31 cents lower at 10.27-10.80.
Wheat bids were 4 to 8 cents higher at 2.79-2.91. Milo bids were mixed at
2.41-2.73.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
