GX_GR113 Springfield, IL Mon Aug 24 2009 USDA-IL Dept of Ag Market News Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Illinois country grain prices were higher on Monday afternoon. Fund and technical buying helped to push grain prices higher. Dry weather in two of the grain growing regions of China was enough news to lift prices, especially in soybeans. This week corn inspected for export totaled 38.5 million bushels, with soybeans 7.57 million bushels. In the cash markets, the cash soybean basis continues to move. Many soybean processors gained 5 to 10 cents with some Illinois River terminals up 5 to 11 cents. In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids 7 cents higher at 3.19-3.27. Soybean bids were mostly 37 to 44 cents higher at 10.91-11.07. In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were mostly up 7 to 8 cents at 3.19-3.30. Soybean bids were 34 to 35 cents higher at 10.73-10.94. In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 7 to 8 cents higher at 3.22-3.34. Soybean bids were 33 to 34 cents higher at 10.36-10.50. Wheat bids were 7 to 10 cents higher at 2.75-2.91. Milo bids were up 7 to 10 cents at 2.78-2.80.
