Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Tuesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Tuesday afternoon. The
USDA's announcement of the sale of 175,000 tonnes of US soybeans to
China was enough to keep soybean prices higher for the day. In the
cash markets, trading activity has been very slow.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids mostly steady at 3.04-3.13. Soybean bids were mixed at
9.92-10.17.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
steady at 3.03-3.15. Soybean bids were up 3 to 4 cents at 10.25-10.39.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 1 to 3 cents
higher at 3.04-3.25. Soybean bids were mostly 29 to 31 cents lower at
9.74-10.09. Wheat bids were 1 cent lower at 2.69-2.91. Milo bids were
steady to 1 cent higher at 2.59-2.65.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
